In today’s world, business models as well as career models are being continuously disrupted. This requires a new approach to strategy, one with a greater emphasis on learning and experimentation. Increasingly the firms that survive are the ones that are organized for continuous evolution, which requires a combination of agile IT, lean product development, and VC like finance. Similarly, individuals must put a greater emphasis on learning and experimentation if they are to remain valuable contributors. In this talk, we will review how management and organization can lead firms through rapidly changing environments and how embracing “students always” can form the core of both corporate and individual career strategy.
